We expect mothers to be selfless, strong, nurturing, etc.; to relentlessly essay round the clock, a societal preconceived notion of what a mother needs to be, that so often demands superhuman capabilities. Let's remind all mothers that they are at first, human.

Let mothers embrace their wings and fly high, fall in love, make mistakes, dream, work for themselves, smile, laugh, be a mess and be the spirit they were - before being made to identify themselves as just a mother. Let's free mothers from moral boundaries and remind them about the wings they have, yet forgotten whilst being a mother. Let's respect them for what they are and not just because they gave birth to us. Let's celebrate them selflessly.

Bhai Bon

As children, brothers and sisters often share a strong bond, playing together and having fun. They can quarrel like enemies but protect each other like feisty soldiers safeguarding their country! As they grow older, they lean on each other for support and companionship.

Siblings often have a very unique understanding of each other that comes from a shared past. The bond between siblings endures a lifetime, and even distance is not enough to break the strong connection between them.

Beautiful Silence

Sometimes there are relationships that cannot be labeled. Friends, lovers or whatever else one may choose to call it; a relationship where people can peacefully enjoy and relax even in silence.

Moments When they aren’t speaking or communicating but they are at peace with each other. In their own space, understanding the beauty of silence. The kind of silence that is full of peace, never uncomfortable and allows each other’s space is just magical in relationships.

Coexistence

There is so much in each of us -so many feelings, aspirations, desires, fears, anxieties and with many ways to cope. There are many hidden aspects of our own selves that we slowly lose touch with what we could actually be.

We become the reflection of everything that has happened to us -letting it mould us to the need of the moment. We coexist as multiple versions of our own selves in our minds - fighting to be the dominant character.

Then there are days when we are just tired, wanting to fall asleep beside each other. When our heart and brain willingly coexists in harmony!

Relationships come in different packages, sometimes defying neatly assigned boxes and labels such as - Friends, sisters, companions, etc.

Do we really need to put labels on relationships for our own convenience? What if we could let people be and let relationships bloom.

That phase of a relationship is very interesting when one just doesn't know what it will evolve into – despite the beginnings, the uncertainty and the obliviousness of where that journey may lead. The beginning of someone and something unexpected.

A Summer Afternoon

Grandmothers are often seen as wise and serious adults because society wants people to act their age. But around the grandchildren, one gets to see their inner child, the young girl at their core. A chance to be childlike without caring for the world around.

The stories of their childhood retold with much enthusiasm, the spark in their eyes are a child’s precious memories.

Some also retain their joy of living even with age despite their body failing to keep up with their childlike mind.

A father makes their children’s life beautiful with their unwavering smile and steadfast support, nurturing them to bloom and shine forth. Strong men raise and empower their children to have their own voice.

A journey that leaves their mark on the planet with a part of themselves that stays here forever. A new flower, added to their beautiful paradise, urged on with the energy their eyes hold for their journey ahead.

The miracle of giving birth is nothing short of an incredible experience bringing a profound sense of awe and wonder. It is the most beautiful phenomenon of nature elucidating our power and ability to create a life on earth.
